Golden Vegetable Puree
This is a nice tasting recipe taken from Joanie's Country Cook book.
Prep Time: 5 min
Cook Time: 40 min or until tender
| medium turnip | 1 |
| medium potatoes | 3 |
| medium carrots | 4 |
| tsp salt | 1 |
| Tbsp butter or margarine | 6 |
| Tbsp honey or maple syrup | 3 |
| tsp nutmeg | 1/2 |
| Pepper to taste |
Directions
- Wash and dice turnips, potatoes and carrots. Place in a large saucepan.
- Add about 2" of water and salt, Boil about 40 min or until vegetables are tender.
- Drain and mash well, Add butter, nutmeg and pepper. Beat until butter and honey are melted and all is smooth. Serve
